Director of the Monocrystal PV Factory Andrei Kravchenko Became the First Russian Citizen to Receive the Title of Honorary Resident of the Chinese City of Changzhou

Director of the Monocrystal PV factory Andrei Kravchenko became the first Russian citizen to receive the title of honorary resident of the Chinese city of Changzhou.

On September 29, at the solemn meeting of members of the Changzhou City Municipality (PRC), on the proposal of the Foreign Affairs Committee, twelve foreign citizens were awarded the title of Honorary Resident of Changzhou. Andrei Kravchenko became the only Russian citizen on this list. Mr. Kravchenko was awarded this title for his high personal contribution to the economic and social development of the city. Andrei Vladimirovich went to China in 2011 on behalf of Vladimir Poliakov, President of OJSC Energomera Concern, with the goal of building a factory for the production of composite pastes for the needs of solar energy industry in Changzhou. At the beginning of 2012, the Monocrystal PV factory was put into operation and became the second site of the Concern for the production of pastes. Today, both Monocrystal enterprises control over 11 % of the global market of pastes for the needs of solar energy industry.

The decision to award the title of Honorary Resident of the city is made by the authorities of Changzhou, a city of almost four million people, not more than once every three years.
