Monocrystal, subsidiary company of JSC Concern Energomera - a leading manufacturer of electronic materials for LED and solar industries will build a plant for production of metallization pastes in China.
Within the framework of further development strategy the company will build a modern plant for production of metallization pastes
Pastes for solar cells metallization are used in photovoltaic systems and are the key material defining efficiency in converting solar energy into electricity.
At the present time most part of solar cells is produced in China. This market has come out on top for consumption of metallization pastes and it will grow at an average annual rate of 20% over the next 5 years. Opening of the plant in China will allow the company to strengthen competitiveness among manufacturers of metallization pastes.
Monocrystal will invest approximately 10 million US dollars in the construction of the plant. However the company plans to pay back the invested assets within 2-3 years. “This decision will allow to increase a market share of the company, to provide better technical support to the Chinese consumers, and also to lower the production cost price”, says Vladimir Polyakov, President of JSC Concern Energomera.
Monocrystal is one of the largest world manufacturers of monocrystalline sapphire and pastes for solar cells metallization. Company share on the world market of synthetic sapphire is more than 22% and on the market of aluminum pastes - more than 15 %. About 95 % of products are exported in more than 25 countries.
